<Privacy Policy of Salesmap>

Salesmap ('https://salesmap.kr' hereinafter referred to as 'Salesmap') establishes and discloses the following privacy policy in order to protect the personal information of the information subject and to quickly and smoothly handle related grievances in accordance with Article 30 of the 「Personal Information Protection Act」.

○ This privacy policy will be applied from January 1, 2023.

Article 1 (Purpose of processing personal information)

Salesmap processes personal information for the following purposes. The personal information being processed will not be used for any purpose other than the following purposes, and if the purpose of use changes, necessary measures such as obtaining separate consent in accordance with Article 18 of the 「Personal Information Protection Act」 will be implemented.

  1. Website membership registration and management Personal information is processed for the purpose of confirming the intention to sign up, identification and authentication of the member for providing membership services, maintaining and managing membership qualifications, preventing fraudulent use of services, and confirming consent of legal representatives when processing personal information of children under the age of 14.

  2. Provision of goods or services Personal information is processed for the purpose of providing services.

Article 2 (Processing and retention period of personal information)

① Salesmap processes and retains personal information within the period of retention and use of personal information agreed upon when collecting personal information from the information subject or within the period of personal information retention and use in accordance with laws and regulations.

② The processing and retention period of each personal information is as follows.

  1. Website membership registration and management Personal information related to website membership registration and management is retained and used for 3 years from the date of consent to collection and use for the above purposes.

Article 3 (Items of personal information processed)

① Salesmap processes the following personal information items.

Article 4 (Matters concerning the provision of personal information to third parties)

① Salesmap processes personal information only within the scope specified in Article 1 (Purpose of processing personal information), and provides personal information to a third party only with the consent of the information subject, or in cases falling under Articles 17 and 18 of the 「Personal Information Protection Act」, such as special provisions of the law.

② Salesmap provides personal information to third parties as follows.

Article 5 (Matters concerning consignment of personal information processing)

① Salesmap consigns the processing of personal information as follows for smooth personal information processing.

② When concluding a consignment contract, Salesmap specifies matters such as the prohibition of processing personal information for purposes other than the purpose of performing the consignment task, technical and managerial protection measures, restriction of re-consignment, management and supervision of the consignee, and liability for damages in the contract or other documents in accordance with Article 26 of the 「Personal Information Protection Act」, and supervises whether the consignee processes personal information safely.

③ If the details of the consignment work or the consignee change, we will disclose it through this privacy policy without delay.

Article 6 (Procedure and method of personal information destruction)

① Salesmap destroys the relevant personal information without delay when personal information becomes unnecessary due to the expiration of the personal information retention period or the achievement of the processing purpose.

② Even if the personal information retention period agreed by the information subject has expired or the processing purpose has been achieved, if personal information must be kept in accordance with other laws and regulations, the relevant personal information is transferred to a separate database (DB) or stored in a different storage location.

③ The procedure and method of personal information destruction are as follows.

  1. Destruction procedure Salesmap selects personal information whose reason for destruction occurred and destroys the personal information upon the approval of Salesmap's personal information protection officer.

  2. Destruction method For information in the form of electronic files, a technical method that cannot reproduce the record is used.

Article 7 (Matters concerning the rights, obligations, and their exercise methods of the information subject and legal representative)

① The information subject can exercise the right to request access, correction, deletion, and suspension of processing of personal information at any time against Salesmap.

② The exercise of rights under Paragraph 1 can be made in writing, e-mail, or fax, etc. to Salesmap in accordance with Article 41(1) of the Enforcement Decree of the 「Personal Information Protection Act」, and Salesmap will take action without delay.

③ The exercise of rights under Paragraph 1 may be done through a legal representative of the information subject or a delegated person. In this case, a power of attorney in accordance with Form No. 11 of the "Personal Information Processing Method Notice (No. 2020-7)" must be submitted.

④ Requests for access to or suspension of processing of personal information may be restricted pursuant to Article 35(4) and Article 37(2) of the 「Personal Information Protection Act」.

⑤ Requests for the correction and deletion of personal information cannot be made to delete information if the relevant personal information is specified as a collection target in other laws and regulations.

⑥ Salesmap confirms whether the person who made a request for access, correction, deletion or suspension of processing is the information subject or a legitimate representative when such rights are exercised.

Article 8 (Matters concerning measures to ensure the safety of personal information)

Salesmap takes the following measures to ensure the safety of personal information.

  1. Conducting regular self-audits We conduct self-audits regularly (quarterly) to ensure the stability of personal information handling.

  2. Minimization and training of employees handling personal information We are implementing measures to manage personal information by designating employees handling personal information and limiting it to the person in charge to minimize.

  3. Establishment and implementation of an internal management plan We have established and implemented an internal management plan for the safe handling of personal information.

  4. Technical countermeasures against hacking, etc. Salesmap installs security programs and conducts regular updates and inspections to prevent the leakage and damage of personal information due to hacking or computer viruses, and installs the system in an area with controlled access from the outside, and monitors and blocks it technically and physically.

  5. Encryption of personal information The password of the user's personal information is stored and managed after encryption, so only the information subject can know, and important data uses separate security functions such as encrypting files and transmission data or using file locking functions.

  6. Storage and prevention of forgery/alteration of access records Access records to the personal information processing system are stored and managed for at least 1 year, however, in the case of adding personal information for more than 50,000 information subjects or processing unique identification information or sensitive information, they are stored and managed for at least 2 years. In addition, security functions are used so that the access records are not forged, stolen, or lost.

  7. Access restrictions on personal information Necessary measures are taken to control access to personal information by granting, changing, and deleting access rights to the database system that processes personal information, and unauthorized access from the outside is controlled using an intrusion prevention system.

Article 9 (Matters concerning the installation, operation, and refusal of devices that automatically collect personal information)

① Salesmap uses 'cookies' that store and retrieve usage information from time to time in order to provide individually tailored services to users.

② Cookies are a small amount of information sent by the server (http) used to operate the website to the user's computer browser and may also be stored on the user's PC computer's hard disk.

A. Purpose of using cookies: Cookies are used to provide information optimized for users by understanding the visit and usage patterns, popular search terms, secure access status, etc. of the services and websites visited by the user.

B. Installation, operation and rejection of cookies: You can refuse to save cookies through the option settings in the Tools > Internet Options > Privacy menu at the top of the web browser.

C. Please note that if you refuse to store cookies, there may be difficulties in using customized services.

Article 10 (Matters concerning the collection, use, provision, and refusal of behavioral information)

① Salesmap collects and uses behavioral information in order to provide optimal customized services, benefits, and online customized advertisements to information subjects during the service use process.

② Salesmap collects behavioral information as follows:

④ Salesmap collects only the minimum amount of behavioral information necessary for online customized advertisements, etc., and does not collect sensitive behavioral information that may clearly infringe on an individual's rights, interests, or privacy, such as ideology, belief, family and relative relationships, academic background, medical history, and other social activity experience.

⑤ Salesmap does not collect behavioral information for the purpose of customized advertising from online services whose main users are known to be children under the age of 14, and does not provide customized advertisements to children known to be under the age of 14.

⑥ Salesmap collects and uses advertising identifiers in mobile apps for online customized advertising purposes. The information subject can block or allow customized advertising for the app by changing the settings of the mobile device.

⑦ The information subject can block or allow online customized advertisements at once through changes to the web browser's cookie settings. However, changes to cookie settings may affect the use of some services such as automatic login on websites.

‣ Blocking/allowing customized advertisements through web browsers

(1) Internet Explorer (Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 10)

  • In Internet Explorer, select the Tools button and then select Internet Options.

  • Select the Privacy tab, select Advanced under Settings, and then select Block or Allow cookies.

(2) Microsoft Edge

  • In Edge, click the '...' icon in the upper right corner, then click Settings.

  • Click 'Privacy, search, and services' on the left side of the Settings page, then select whether to 'Block tracking' and the level in the "Tracking Prevention" section.

  • Select whether to 'Always use "Strict" tracking prevention when searching InPrivate'.

  • Select whether to 'Send "Do Not Track" requests' in the "Privacy" section below.

(3) Chrome browser

  • In Chrome, click the '⋮' icon (Chrome customization and control) in the upper right corner, then click the Settings icon.

  • Click 'Show advanced settings' at the bottom of the Settings page and click Content settings in the "Privacy" section.

  • In the Cookies section, select the checkbox for 'Block third-party cookies and site data'.

Article 11 (Additional Criteria for Use and Provision)

Salesmap may additionally use and provide personal information without the consent of the information subject in accordance with Article 15, Paragraph 3 and Article 17, Paragraph 4 of the「Personal Information Protection Act」, taking into account the matters stipulated in Article 14-2 of the Enforcement Decree of the 「Personal Information Protection Act」.

Accordingly, in order for Salesmap to additionally use and provide personal information without the consent of the information subject, the following matters were considered:

▶ Whether there is predictability for additional use and provision in light of the circumstances or practices under which personal information was collected

▶ Whether the additional use and provision of personal information unfairly infringes on the interests of the information subject
